Michael Kopelman and Andrew Bunney have embarked on a special design project for Dickies.
The london-based, premium streetwear label and clothing distribution agency gimme 5 have created a new capsule collection for the brand. It’s a creative design project not dissimilar to thom browne’s ongoing work with brooks brothers or Mark McNairy’s collection for Bass Weejun. Designed by Kopelman and Bunney and manufactured by Dickies, it will be sold through specialist streetwear stores such as Kopelman’s very own hideout store in London. When it comes to streetwear on a global scale Michael Kopelman and Andrew Bunney are two of the most influential arbiters and practitioners around; where they go, others tend to follow — eventually! Jason Jules catches up with Michael and Andrew to uncover the thinking behind this unique Dickies project.
