He's called Bob The Mechanic and is referred to as the last honest mechanic in L.A. For over 35 years, actors, artists and Average Joes have brought their broken convertibles, muscle and vintage cars to his shop located in Silverlake in East Hollywood. For Bob, cars have been a central part during his entire life.

As a kid, he used his lunch and bus money for cars instead. Growing up in the golden era of American vehicles with chrome, steel and lots of horsepower, he's naturally not a big fan of new cars since "they all look the same" and lacks personality. He prefers old GM cars such as the Camaros, Corvettes and Mustangs. The same cars he also race with on the weekends at classic race venues like Las Vegas, Bakersfield and Pomona.

So what does Bob's daughter do during the weekends?
Yup, you guessed it. She races. Dragsters. And hangs out at Bob's Big Boy with her father. It's the place to be at Saturday nights for people that like to go fast in old American cars. A piece of culture Bob definitely is part of keeping alive and vivid!
